Now I know the real meaning of COLD

I’ve complained and pretty much been salty about the idea of it getting cold. I’m from the South, like my warm weather, loathe snow and really can’t stand ice. But today is now the coldest day I’ve experienced in Minnesota. The temperature has dropped below zero and the wind chill tonight … there’s winter weather warnings of the wind chill dropping to (negative) 30.

The above is a video I put together from the finals of the Dick Walker Invitational, a small tournament hosted by Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. It’s a quaint little town, but the competition on the Division III level was pretty sound.

Now I’m spending my Sunday thawing out and watching “Encino Man.” Yes, the movie pretty much sucks, but I remember watching it in the theater … I was either in high school or middle school. Pauly Shore was funny … when I was in the sixth grade.

I might be heading to Lincoln on Sunday to cover the Gophers match against Nebraska. Might just piggy-back with Coach Robinson on the trip to save me 12 hours in the car. We’ll see how that works.

Things are going well, other than it’s cold. I now own a Macbook Pro. It’s pretty slick.
