July 2 Marathon Log Update …

Got back on track and hit up a three mile run this evening. Filmed the video completely on my new iPhone and used a killer app called MotionX GPS by Fullpower to log my route, tell me how fast I’m going and how long I’ve gone. It also controls the music on my iPod within the app, so it’s awesome. I highly recommend it if you have an iTouch or an iPhone. It’s like $2.99 or something, but well worth it.

Marathon Update: June 18

In case you’re wondering, there hasn’t been any video this week because I’m all out of tape. Yes, I sadly do NOT own a hard drive camera, so that would mean I have to run out and get some of those little miniDV tapes.

I’ve bought too many of them this year and after using an HDD camera yesterday down in Rochester while covering the Jimmy Chase-Justin LaValle wrestle-off, it’s about time I “get with the times.”

Thursday’s run sucked. I got zero pace, no motivation, no rhythm. 3.34 miles (or 3.44). iPod started working tonight after I got home.

So I didn’t run Wednesday. My left achilles was feeling a bit funny, so I just rested instead of trying to pressure it. Bad runs for me right now, mean more walking and running.

So for now, I need a real video update, but I’ll just get a new camera instead, then work on it from there.

Things I don’t want to do today …

This run …

I’ll do it anyway, but I’m really NOT feeling motivated.
